Without a Doubt the Best Act of Kindness

Apparently this is what happens when I am just myself!  Please read this amazing e-mail my recycle company manager sent out earlier today.  I've already raised $55 because of it! Dear Sunflower Customers, I would like to tell you about one of our customers who stands out because of her focus on, and dedication to the environment.   When Emily Reno was in junior high school her parents bought her a year’s worth of recycling service for their household.  When the year was up, so was the present.  Ever since, she has paid for her family’s recycling out of her own pocket and that strikes me as remarkable.  How many kids do something like that? Emily’s greenness didn’t stop there.  At Free State High School she was the president of the environmental club and now she’s a freshman at Johnson County Community College hoping to transfer to the Environmental Studies program at KU.  She’s paying for all her schooling, too. Fundraising Update

Hi friends and family!  Sorry I've been so slow in posting updates.  School has been pretty hectic lately; however, I have exciting news from the fundraising standpoint!  CCL Lawrence as a group has raised roughly $670 dollars, which will be split between two or three people.  I only need about $400 to make my budget! Be expecting photos while I play my viola on Massachusetts street as soon as it warms up.  We're still getting snow in Lawrence and it's almost April.....

Introduction

Greetings friends and family!  I would just like to say thank you for all of your support in my journey to get to Washington, D.C.  Until June 22nd, I will post periodic updates with my fundraising progress and opportunities to come see me perform in Downtown Lawrence or buy a scarf at the Arts and Crafts Show next fall.  Once in D.C., I plan on keeping everyone informed by posting photos and brief anecdotes about my time there.  In this way you can all stay connected with what I am doing!
